Description:
The Business Requirements Analyst is primarily responsible for gathering and documenting client requirements and use cases to ensure the right solution is developed. The Business Requirements Analyst must excel at interacting with clients and handling several projects concurrently. This role is a blend of analyst, project coordination and testing. The person will work with the project manager, clients, stakeholders and partners from the beginning to end of a project to define requirements, plan and execute according to objectives. This may also include functional testing and supporting training.
A secondary role of the Business Requirements Analyst may also include managing the system enhancements, defects and prioritizing them to align with business needs. This entails establishing and managing client expectations, optimizing process and handling changes effectively. Other roles of the Business Requirements Analyst may include supporting the sales process, client development efforts and providing subject matter expertise.
Experience & Qualifications:

Prefer experience in Consumer Lending or Retail Credit industry (store credit, credit card marketing, credit risk management, loan/lease payments, etc.)

8-10 years of experience creating standard project artifacts including process flows, use cases, business rules, requirements specifications and technical specifications.

Knowledge of Retail point of sale and payment processing systems is helpful

Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

Ability to write test plans, coordinate with IT team, assist with application testing, train users, and follow-through implementation

Demonstrated success managing internal/external client expectations and communications.

Proven leadership, strategic thinking, analytical and organizational skills.

Elicitrequirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, 3rd party research, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.

Create/revise the following analysis artifacts:
- Process Maps and Process Flows
- Business Rules
- Configuration Requirements
- User Stories / Use Cases
- Performance and technical requirements
- Acceptance Criteria
- Test Plans
- Training Material
- Work in conjunction with business partners and testers to complete traceability matrices

Assists in prioritization discussion of defects, based on requirements prioritization.

Very strong technical skills coupled with business intelligence and customer centric focus, so that they can be transformed into application and operational requirements, throughout project life cycle up to and through change control

Acting as a liaison between business units, technology teams and support teams

High energy, positive, "can do" attitude, team oriented, high degree of initiative.

Fully proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project and Requirements gathering methodologies/tools.

Ability to work in a start up environment, while helping build out mature organization.

Requires travel and may require non-standard business hours based on client needs.
