NewComLink is an
exciting early stage growing company with an innovative technology platform
that provides retailers with a range of payment products at point of need.
The Web Application
Developer will primarily be responsible for the architecting and maintaining
our web portal for client system implementations. Python knowledge required. Help
build requirements, integrate with clients and build reporting / database
infrastructure.
Role & Responsibilities:
· Be an SME of our Web Portal. Our Web
portal is where clients sign-up for our service, access our products, receive
reports, invoices, and training material
· Create scripts to submit XML data to
post to server using HTTPS. Our portal will connect to a ‘black box’ which will
decision which product is returned
· Develops Web applications, web
services, Plug-ins, API, and browser functionality in order to pass data from
system to system
· Integrates applications by studying
and establishing connectivity with network systems, databases, search engines,
and information servers.
Other Responsibilities:
· Expand credit process to multiple
channels beyond Web portal. Experience with retailer POS systems, kiosks,
mobile applications.
· Consult with client partners on the
setup and design of their integration.
· Manage installation and deployment
activities for the project; Web integration, POS software applications,
hardware installations, infrastructure/network changes.
· Plan and establish post launch
activities including ongoing system support and performance reporting
· Continually stay up-to-date with
industry changes/trends and bring in new technology to the company.
Experience & Qualifications
· The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5
or more years of experience (preferably in the retail credit industry) and a
technical undergraduate degree.
· Knowledge of eCommerce,
Retail POS applications, and payment processing systems.
· Exhibit excellent communication
skills: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
· Self-starters able to work in a start
up environment
· Strong Familiarity with:
· Client Side: HTML, DHTML, JavaScript
· Server Side: Perl, .Net, Python, Ruby, PHP
· XML Web Services
· HTML, validation tools, encryption
tools
· HTTPs/SOAP, VPN, networking,
Networking technologies TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls, Frame Relays
· Visual Basic, Visual Studio,
experience with Plug-ins, ActiveX
· Database concepts, SQL and reporting
· Hosting capabilities. Experience
using Amazon Cloud services
· PCI compliance standards
· Proficiency with the following tools:
Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio, and Microsoft SQL
